Pulp Fiction magazine covers and illustrations from 1900s - 1960s
Pulps typically featured several shorts stories in each issue with a glorious, lurid cover illustration to tempt the reader to purchase. Well known titles include Weird Tales, Astounding, Black Mask, Amazing Stories, Startling Stories and Wonder Stories.
Illustrators of note were Frank R, Paul, Ed Emsh, R.G.Jones, Virgil Finlay and Earle Bergey. Many famous writers got their start in the pulps including Ray Bradbury, Robert Bloch, Edgar Rice Burroughs, H.P.Lovecraft and Robert E.Howard.
